The Gateway

Personal Neural Vault

A sovereign, encrypted home for every neural recording. The Vault sits between the individual and the Archive — nothing reaches collective research without explicit consent from its owner.

§ 01

What it is

The Personal Neural Vault is secure, cloud-based storage for neural recording sessions captured on Psyntient Ground. Every session a participant records is encrypted and stored under their control, in a personal archive that is theirs alone.

The Vault is not an add-on. It is the structural component that makes the rest of the Psyntient system ethically coherent: data from the body never leaves the body's owner without an explicit, revocable act of consent.

§ 02

How permission flows

Step A

Record

Sessions captured on Ground stream directly into the participant's Vault.

Step B

Review

The participant inspects, annotates, or deletes any session before sharing.

Step C

Contribute

With explicit, granular consent, selected sessions enter the Noetic Archive.

§ 03

Principles

  • end-to-end encrypted at rest and in transit
  • permission-based sharing, granular per session and per recipient
  • consent is revocable; withdrawal removes data from future analyses
  • built for decades-long preservation of intimate biological records

§ 04

Personal AI insights

The Vault isn't only a privacy boundary — it's also where each participant's own neural history becomes useful to them. Inside the Vault, AI surfaces personal patterns, tracks state changes over time, and lets the user explore their own neural archetypes through Ground's replay and entrainment features. None of that requires contributing to the Archive.

§ 05

The Vault as gateway

The Archive cannot exist without the Vault. Every neural archetype Psyntient identifies is the product of many participants choosing, individually, to contribute. The Vault is the architecture that makes that choice meaningful.
